Recruiters who actually get the PM role.
We work with fewer candidates than most agencies, and the ones we do, we brief properly.

What PMs placed by Backlog say.
Honestly I was pretty cynical by the time I spoke to Backlog. I'd had recruiters pitching me Senior PM roles for months when I'd been a Staff PM for three years. They sent me three things, two of them got to final round. Didn't expect that.
The prep doc they sent before my interview was weirdly thorough. Like someone had actually talked to the hiring manager about what they cared about, not just pulled it off the job spec. I went in knowing more about the product than I usually do by round two.
They told me two of the companies weren't going to be right for me before I'd even asked. One of them I was actually pretty excited about. Turned out they were right, and I wouldn't have worked that out on my own.
Six months of 'urgent hiring for Senior PM' emails before I found Backlog. They asked a load of questions, said they'd be in touch when something fit, and then I heard nothing for three weeks. When they came back it was with one role. That was the one.
Got three offers in about five weeks. I don't know how much of that was the market and how much was them, but every intro felt like someone had actually read both sides of the thing. That's not normal for me.
